Hello, and welcome to my academic website! I am a political scientist with a focus on European integration and European Union politics. I am particularly interested in the history and theories of European integration, Franco-German political relations, the European Council, and the EU's various interactions with its outside world.
Currently I am a senior researcher and lecturer at Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich. Prior to that, I was a doctoral student at the European University Institute in Florence. I completed my graduate and undergraduate studies at Trier University, Sciences Po Lyon, Lancaster University, and the College of Europe in Bruges.
I have been a visiting researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science, the Arena Centre for European Studies in Oslo, the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Sciences Po Paris. I am a member of the TEPSA research network on the European Council and of the German standing group on European integration.
